“See that you do not refuse him who is speaking” (Hebrews 11:25).

“See that you do not refuse him who is speaking” (Hebrews 11:25).
Have you heard what Jesus has to say about the Kingdom of God and the one way in which it can be entered? What have you done about it?
The message of God’s Kingdom calls for our response. Have you received this message with faith?  This is the only way in which you can enter the Kingdom.
This is the matter of the greatest urgency. It is more important than anything else.
‘So long as you’ve got your health’ – What about the salvation of your soul?
‘He’s really getting on in the world.’ – What about the salvation of your soul?
Jesus says, “Seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness” (Matthew 6:33). Have we done this? The truth of God’s Kingdom has been laid before us. Every one of us make our response. You cannot remain neutral. You can enter the Kingdom of God through faith in Christ or you can reject Christ and remain outside of the Kingdom. Let it be clear – you don’t drift into the Kingdom without really knowing it. You enter the Kingdom of God through a definite act of faith in Christ. Through faith in Christ, you know that you have entered the Kingdom.
Why is this matter of entering the Kingdom so vitally important? – “See that you do not refuse him who is speaking.” This is God’s Word. It’s not a human idea. It’s the Word of God. It’s God who is speaking. This is why we must not refuse the offer of salvation. It’s God who is speaking.
In the gospel of Jesus Christ,  we catch a glimpse of God’s heart of love. He yearns for you. He invites you to come to Christ for salvation. Have you, through faith in Christ, accepted God’s way of salvation or are you refusing him who is speaking to you?
Each of us must stand before God on the day of judgment. Will it be in the full assurance and the great joy of salvation? Or will you stand before God, your Judge, without Jesus Christ as your Saviour? – “it is appointed for men to die once and, after that, comes judgment” (Hebrews 9:27).
Sadly and solemnly, it is possible to hear the gospel many times without it doing you any good. Why is this? – “For good news came to us just as to them; but the message which they heard did not benefit them, because it did not meet with faith in the hearers” (Hebrews 4:2). Through neglect, you can miss out on the opportunity of receiving salvation. You hear the gospel often, yet you neglect to do anything about it. What does God say about this? – “How shall we escape if we neglect such a great salvation?” (Hebrews 2:3).
There is ” a Kingdom that cannot be shaken” (Hebrews 12:28), but each of us must make sure that we belong to that Kingdom. I cannot do this for you. You must do it for yourself. You must come to Christ. You must make sure that you have entered the Kingdom. You must make sure that you are inside the Kingdom, and not outside of the Kingdom. There is only one way of entering the Kingdom of God. There  is one way of being sure that you belong to the Kingdom of God. Jesus Christ is the one way. Come to him. He is the way into the Kingdom. Come to him. he is the way into the Kingdom. Come to him, and be sure that you belong to the Kingdom of God.
Have you trusted Christ as your Saviour? Is your faith in him? Are you rejoicing in the Saviour and all that he has done for you? Are you a silent disciple? or Are you no disciple at all?
“See that you do not refuse him who is speaking?”
Who is this God who speaks to you concerning his Kingdom? He is the God whose Kingdom “cannot be shaken.” He is the God who is the unshakable foundation of our faith. He is the rock of our salvation. He is the cornerstone upon which our faith is built. He is the God of great faithfulness. He is “the God of heaven who will set up a Kingdom which shall never be destroyed” (Daniel 2:44). He is the God in whom we can put our trust, and know that he will never let us down.
This is the basis of our assurance of salvation – God himself. This is “the sure and steadfast anchor of the soul” (Hebrews 6:19) – God himself. God has given us his precious promises. He will not break his word.
Here are some great verses about being sure that we have eternal life -1 John 5:11-13 – “11 And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. 13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life.”
Some say, ‘But the Bible was written a long time ago. How can we know it’s true today? – “The counsel of the Lord stands for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations” (Psalm 33:11).
This is for you. This is for me. God’s Word is for all generations.
Whatever your problems, your fears, your weaknesses, your sins, you can bring them all to God, in the sure knowledge that, in Jesus Christ, he has provided all that you need to have joy, peace, hope and security.
If there is anything at all that’s holding you back from committing your life to Jesus Christ, God himself says to you, ‘Lay it aside, look to Jesus only, and let him prove himself to you as the faithful Saviour.’
