Led in the right path …

“Lead me in the right path, O Lord … and show me which way to turn “ (Psalm 6:8).
In today’s world, there are many voices, competing for our attention. They all want to be heard – but they do not all have a message that’s worth hearing. How are we to know who’s speaking the Word of the Lord, and who has no word from the Lord? Who willl lead us in Lord, and who will lead us away from the Lord? The Lord has given us his written Word – the Scriptures. Through the Scriptures, we are led to the Saviour. When the Word of God is being preached, the Saviour is reaching out to us in the power of the Holy Spirit. The voice of the Scriptures, the voice of the Saviour and the voice of the   Spirit – this is what we need. When we’re listening to the voice of the Scriptures, the voice of the Saviour and the voice of the Spirit, we’ll not be led astray. We’ll be led “in the right path” – led in the way of the Scriptures, led in the way of the Saviour, led in the way of the Spirit.
