There’s a difference between speaking with pride and speaking with faith.

So many people have so many questions. Again and again, we feel that there are so many questions – and so few answers. What are we to say about this? Are we to give up on the search for an answer? or Are we to look away from ourselves to Jesus? Here we need to emphasize the difference between pride and faith. We dare not speak with pride, giving the impression that we have more answers that we really do have. Does this mean that we cannot speak with faith, pointing away from ourselves to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour? We know that there are many people who have stopped listening to Jesus but this doesn’t mean that we should stop speaking for him. May God help us to keep on “shining as lights in the world” and to keep on “holding forth the word of life” (Philippians 2:15-16).
