Lovely, beautiful – what do these words mean?

“How lovely is Your dwelling-place, Lord Almighty!” (Psalm 84:1); “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news” (Isaiah 52:7).

Lovely, beautiful – what do these words mean? Where God is, there is love. When He comes into our hearts, He comes in His love – and we, sinners, become His dwelling-place. His love is not for keeping to ourselves. It’s to be shared. We’re to bring the “good news” of His love to other people. We’re to let them that God loves them. This is a beautiful thing – sharing the Good News of God’s love.
