Where are you?

“Where are you?” (Genesis 3:9).
Everything had started out so well, It was such a promising beginning. Then something went wrong, something serious, something that changed everything. What does God do about it, when things start going wrong? He starts looking for us. Why is He looking for us? It’s because He loves us.
Jesus tells us that He “came to seek and to save the lost” (Luke 19:10). This is something we must never forget – When we lose our way in life, Jesus is, still, looking for us. Why? – It’s because He hasn’t stopped loving us. His love is greater than our sin. May we never forget this. He keeps on loving us – even when we, so often, falter in our love for Him. In love, He keeps on calling out to us – calling us back from our wandering away from Him, back to His forgiveness and His peace. In love, He’s calling us on to something very wonderful. He’s calling us on to new life. He’s calling us on to eternal life.
When the Lord comes to us, with His question, “Where are you?”, may we give our answer – “Here I am, Lord” (Exodus 3:4; Isaiah 6:8).
